We were founded in 1987 and currently have more than 120 employees, an 85,000 square foot facility and the ability to produce up to 50,000 products per hour.
The Opportunity
We’re looking for an experienced Business Development professional to join us as a Head of Retail Sales and join our Sales and Marketing team. The opportunity for the candidate coming into this position is limitless. Not only have we had consecutive years of record sales and profitability for the past 6 years, but we are also on a trajectory to continue that this year alongside building a new €8m production facility to accommodate an additional €30m worth of capacity.
Responsibilities
- Manage existing and build new working relationships with both Retail Freezer Aisle and In-Store Bakery buyers of both national and international retailers for branded and own-label business.
- Meeting and presenting to customers regularly to review and ensure targets are being achieved.
- Build volume growth strategies for each customer that will benefit both parties, achieved through increased shelf space, new product launches, successful Joint Business Plans, promotional activity and marketing campaigns.
- Liaising with internal functions such as Marketing, Customer Service, Supply Chain and Production to manage any relevant customer issues.
- Working closely with our marketing team to help grow sales via updating packaging, social media platforms, competitions etc.
- Manage yearly promotion calendar for all retailers - Ensure the correct products are on promo at specific times in order to achieve maximum uplift.
- Working with customers to best forecast future volume requirements and liaising with internal Supply Chain and Customer Service teams.
Requirements For The Role
- Experience in a similar role within the food industry in branded sales
- Ideally you will have experience within a category similar to frozen food or bakery products
- You will have experience of dealing with Ireland and the UK’s Retailers
- The role will be predominantly working from our Head Office in Dublin 17. Flexibility for travel to customer sites is essential
- Proficiency in the MS suite including Powerpoint, Excel, Outlook etc.
- Thrives in presentations and public speaking.
