- You are currently working towards a 2+ year university degree in in Business Management, Procurement, Logistics, Accounting, or similar discipline.
- You are proficient in Microsoft Excel (e.g. pivot tables, complex formulas).
- You will be able demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- You have a basic understanding of accounting principles, account payables teams and their processes.
- You will be results driven with analytical capability and the ability to innovate and simplify current process and practices.
- You have the right to work in the country you are applying for and are available to work full-time for 4 to 6 months.

If you have an interest in tendering and negotiating with suppliers, reporting, forecasting and building KPI dashboards that will support the business in optimizing their consumable orders and consumption, like creating easy to follow processes and training your business partners, Amazon Global Procurement Operations team is the place to be.
This internship is an educational opportunity, where you will apply your negotiation and analytical skills to complete an impactful project that will contribute to the functionality and level of service that team provides to our customers. Your tasks could include, but are not limited to:
- Scouting the market for potential third-party logistics (3PL) providers and launching tenders
- Requesting quotations for projects and negotiating costs
- Analyzing various cost elements impacting projects
- Collaborating with various departments such as Operations, Finance and Legal stakeholders
- Ensuring all projects/requests are tracked efficiently and creating progress reports
The first stage, is a video interview and technical assessment. This assessment can take around 30 minutes to complete. If successful you will move through to the final stage, which is a panel interview consisting of 2 interviews. If necessary you may also have to complete a language test.
- Interest in learning more about material resource planning, inventory management and forecasting
- Attention to detail, ability to do in-depth data mining, methodical approach to work while also seeking to understand the big picture
- Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems with a preference for Oracle Financials and/or Coupa experience
- Previous work experience such as a summer job or internship
